One bag of Macrogol beta plus electrolytes contains the following active ingredients: 13.125 g Macrogol 3350, 0.351 g sodium chloride, 0.179 g sodium hydrogen carbonate and 0.047 g potassium chloride.The other ingredients include highly disperse silicon dioxide, saccharin sodium, orange flavor (containing flavorings and flavoring extracts, maltodextrin, arabic gum, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol) and lemon-lime flavoring (containing flavoring extracts, maltodextrin, mannitol (Ph.Eur), D-glucono-1,5-lactone, sorbitol(Ph.Eur.), Arabic gum, highly dispersed silicon dioxide).

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients or other ingredients, have a perforated intestinal wall, have an intestinal blockage or have severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.Please tell your doctor or pharmacy if this applies to you.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over as well as older patients should take one sachet 1 to 3 times daily.The duration of use should normally not be longer than 2 weeks.However, if your doctor advises you, you may take it longer, especially if you have persistent constipation or certain medical conditions.In these cases the dose can be reduced to 1 or 2 sachets per day.

Intake

Patient information

Notes

The medicine contains 0.8 mg sorbitol per sachet.It also contains 188 mg of sodium per sachet, which is 9.4% of the recommended maximum daily sodium intake.The maximum recommended daily intake contains 564 mg of sodium, which is 28% of the recommended maximum daily sodium intake. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you need 3 sachets daily for a long period of time, especially if you are on a low-salt diet.

Do not take the preparation if you have a narrowed intestine, intestinal obstruction, risk of intestinal perforation or severe inflammatory bowel disease or if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or other ingredients.
