Directions for use for Calcicare D3 Forte Effervescent Tablets: CalciCare-D3 Forte is a vitamin and mineral preparation used to treat vitamin D and calcium deficiency. It is used to support specific therapy, to prevent and treat osteoporosis and to prevent and treat vitamin D and calcium deficiency in the elderly. The effervescent tablets contain calcium carbonate and colecalciferol (vitamin D3) as active ingredients. Before taking CalciCare-D3 Forte, some precautions should be observed. It is contraindicated in people who are hypersensitive to colecalciferol, soya, peanut or other components of the medicine. Persons with certain disease states or conditions that may lead to high calcium concentrations in the blood or urine should also not take the preparation. Particular caution should be exercised in persons with certain lung diseases, long-term treatment with CalciCare-D3 Forte, concomitant use of other vitamin D preparations and in persons with immobilisation osteoporosis or renal dysfunction.
