Instructions for use of the article "Mepilex Transfer wound dressing 20x50 cm sterile": - Mepilex Transfer is a drainable foam dressing for exuding wounds. - The dressing allows vertical drainage of exudate into a secondary absorbent dressing to minimise the risk of maceration. - The Safetac layer seals the wound edges and prevents exudate from reaching the surrounding skin. - The dressing is thin, elastic and comfortable to wear, which increases patient comfort. - Indications for use include exuding tumour wounds, epidermolysis bullosa (EB), skin removal sites and venous leg ulcers. - Mepilex Transfer can be tailored for different wound shapes and body areas. - A Tubifast tubular dressing is suitable for fixation of the dressing. - For moderately to heavily exuding wounds and to reduce painful dressing changes. - The primary dressing can remain on the wound for several days and safely transfers the exudate to the absorbent secondary dressing. - Manufacturer: Mölnlycke Health Care GmbH, Düsseldorf.
