Directions for use of the article Esberitox Compact Tablets: - The herbal medicinal product Esberitox Compact is used for supportive therapy in viral colds. It contains a dry extract of dyer's bean rootstock, purple coneflower root, pale coneflower root and arborvitae tips and leaves. - Esberitox Compact tablets should be taken three times a day with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of water. The tablets can also be chewed. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is one tablet per intake. - Esberitox Compact should be taken as soon as possible after the first signs of illness appear and should be taken until the symptoms subside. However, the duration of use should not exceed 10 days. - Esberitox Compact is usually well tolerated. Possible side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, skin reactions, low blood pressure and shortness of breath. If you overdose or forget to take the medicine, you should contact your doctor. - Esberitox Compact should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, autoimmune diseases, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, changes in the blood count, certain viral infections and in children under 12 years of age. - The use of Esberitox Compact is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. - Esberitox Compact should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the outer carton. The medicinal product should not be disposed of in waste water. - Esberitox Compact tablets are available without prescription from pharmacies.
