Dorithricin® Wild Berry Throat Tablets are a proven throat medicine for treating sore throats and difficulty swallowing.The unique active ingredient formula combines a local pain-relieving active ingredient, an anti-infective and a local antiseptic active ingredient, which support each other in their effect.Dorithricin® quickly relieves pain without causing unpleasant numbness while fighting bacterial pathogens.This is particularly important because sore throats are often viral, but there is a risk of bacterial colonization.Dorithricin® works in all phases of a sore throat and is also suitable for children aged 2 and over as soon as they can suck under control.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

Dorithricin® Throat Tablets Wild Berry are used for the symptomatic treatment of infections of the mouth and throat with sore throats and difficulty swallowing.They are effective for severe sore throats, difficulty swallowing, burning, scratchy and tingling in the throat.After consulting your doctor, the lozenges can also be helpful if you have tonsillitis.It is recommended to start taking it as early as possible to prevent the sore throat from getting worse.

Mode of action

Dorithricin® throat lozenges contain three active ingredients in a medically useful combination: benzocaine, tyrothricin and benzalkonium chloride.Benzocaine quickly relieves pain without adding unnecessary anesthesia.Tyrothricin has excellent antibacterial properties and, in combination with the other active ingredients, has an antiviral and locally immune-stimulating effect.Benzalkonium chloride optimally complements tyrothricin in its effects.This combination makes Dorithricin® effective in all phases of a sore throat.

1 Lozenge of Dorithricin® throat lozenges wild berry contains: tyrothricin 0.5 mg, benzalkonium chloride 1.0 mg and benzocaine 1.5 mg.Other ingredients are sorbitol (Ph. Eur.), talc, sucrose stearate type III, saccharin sodium 2-H2O, aroma, povidone (K 25) and carmellose sodium (Ph. Eur.).Dorithricin® is free of animal ingredients, lactose, gluten and sugar.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, this product should not be used.It is not suitable for children under 24 months as appropriate use (sucking) in infants and small children is not guaranteed.Taking it during pregnancy should be discussed with a doctor.

Dosage

Dorithricin® throat lozenges can be taken several times a day.As needed, let 1-2 lozenges slowly dissolve in your mouth every 2-3 hours.Due to their good tolerability, the lozenges are suitable for children aged 2 and over as soon as they can suck in a controlled manner.Treatment should be continued for one day after the symptoms have subsided.

Intake

As needed, let 1-2 lozenges slowly dissolve in your mouth several times a day, every 2-3 hours.

Patient information

If you have a severe sore throat or sore throat that is accompanied by a high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting, you should seek medical advice.If there are fresh wounds in the mouth and throat, the drug should not be used.Patients who are prone to skin hypersensitivity reactions should avoid taking the product.

Pregnancy

So far there has been no evidence of a teratogenic effect caused by the drug.However, as a precaution, you should only take it during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

Dorithricin® throat lozenges wild berry are suitable for diabetics.One tablet contains 0.07 bread units (BE).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
