Directions for use of Pelargonium-ratiopharm Bronchial Drops: - Pelargonium-ratiopharm Bronchial Drops contains the active substance Pelargonium sidoides root extract. - It is used for acute bronchitis. - It must not be taken in cases of increased bleeding tendency, severe liver and kidney diseases, and hypersensitivity to the active substance. - Caution is advised in case of signs of liver dysfunction, shortness of breath or bloody sputum. - The dosage is 30 drops 3 times a day for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, 20 drops 3 times a day for children 6-12 years of age, and 10 drops 3 times a day for children 1-5 years of age. - The drops are taken with liquid and should be used for at least one week. - Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort and increase in liver enzymes. - The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and a doctor should be consulted in case of overdose. - The pack sizes available are 20 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml. - The medicinal product is manufactured by ratiopharm GmbH and approved by Bioplanta Arzneimittel GmbH.
