1 ml Pelargonium ratiopharm bronchial drops contains 800 mg Pelargonium root extract (1:8-10), with ethanol 11% (V/V) serving as the extractant.Other ingredients are ethanol as an excipient and glycerol 85% as an excipient.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.The product should also not be taken if you have an increased tendency to bleed, are using anticoagulant medications or have severe liver and kidney diseases, as there is insufficient experience in this regard.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age can take 30 drops three times daily.Children between 6 and 12 years old should take 20 drops three times a day, while children between 1 and 5 years old can take 10 drops three times a day.Small children under 6 years of age should only be treated after consulting a doctor.

Intake

The drops are intended to be taken orally.Please take the drops morning, afternoon and evening with a little liquid.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the preparation if there is no improvement within a week, if there is a fever that lasts for several days or if shortness of breath or bloody sputum occurs.In these cases, a doctor should be consulted immediately.Stop taking the product and consult a doctor if you experience signs of liver damage, such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, severe upper abdominal pain, or loss of appetite.

Pregnancy

Pelargonium ratiopharm bronchial drops contain 12% alcohol by volume, which corresponds to around 60 mg in 10 drops or 120 mg in 20 drops.The drops are free of gluten, lactose and contain no carbohydrates (BE).No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: 30 drops three times a day for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, 20 drops three times a day for children aged 6 to 12 years and 10 drops three times a day for small children aged 1 to 5 years. Please take the drops morning, afternoon and evening with a little liquid.

It is recommended to continue treatment with Pelargonium-ratiopharm® bronchial drops for several days after the symptoms of the disease have subsided in order to avoid a relapse.The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.

Notes

The shelf life after opening the container is 6 months.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
