Directions for use of the article Calcium Vitamin D3 Acis 500 mg/400 I.E. Chewable Tablets: Calcium Vitamin D3 Acis 500 mg/400 I.E. Chewable Tablets are chewable tablets containing calcium and vitamin D3. They are used to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiencies in older people. They are also used as a supplement to support specific osteoporosis therapy for patients who are at risk of vitamin D and calcium deficiency. The recommended dose is one tablet twice daily, which can be chewed or sucked. No information is available on overdose and contraindications. Possible side effects include, but are not limited to, increased calcium levels, increased urinary calcium excretion, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, hives, itching, skin rash and shift of the acid-base balance in the blood to the alkaline side.
