Area of application

Movicol® ready to drink is a laxative for the treatment of acute and chronic constipation in adults, adolescents and elderly patients.It is not recommended for children under 12 years old.Movicol® ready to drink helps to achieve comfortable bowel movements, even in the case of long-term constipation.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

25 ml of a sachet of Movicol® ready to drink contains the following active ingredients: 50.2 mg potassium chloride, 0.67 mmol potassium ions, 0.67 mmol chloride ions, 13.125 g macrogol 3350, 350.8 mg sodium chloride, 6 mmol sodium ions, 6 mmol chloride ions, 178.6 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate and 2.13 mmol hydrogen carbonate ions.Sucralose, purified water, banana flavor, celery herb, propylene glycol and strawberry flavor are included as excipients.

Dosage

For good health, including a healthy gut, it is recommended to drink enough fluids (2 to 2.5 liters daily).For constipation, one dose of Movicol® ready to drink is equivalent to one sachet.Take one sachet 1 to 3 times daily depending on the severity of your constipation.Treatment usually lasts about 2 weeks.For prolonged use or if constipation is caused by an illness or medication, please speak to your doctor.During long-term treatment the dose is usually 1 or 2 sachets per day.

Intake

You can take Movicol® ready to drink at any time and regardless of food and drink intake.Drink Movicol® ready to drink directly from the pouch.It is not necessary to dilute the product with water.Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged.

Patient information

No dosage adjustment is necessary in cases of renal insufficiency.Movicol® ready to drink does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Movicol® ready to drink can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.If you are pregnant, want to become pregnant or are breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice before taking Movicol® ready to drink.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.Keep Movicol® ready to drink, out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the sachet.Do not store the product in the refrigerator or freeze and not above 30°C.

When taken with other products

The effectiveness of some medicines, such as anti-epileptic drugs, may be reduced while you are taking Movicol® ready to drink.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.
