proff Schmerzgel 50 mg/g is a medicinal product for external use in pain and inflammation. It contains the active substance ibuprofen. Indications include acute strains, sprains or bruises in the extremities, muscular rheumatism, arthrosis and inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the joints and spine. In addition, it treats swellings and inflammations of the soft tissues near the joints as well as back pain, lumbago, frozen shoulder and sports injuries. The gel is applied 3-4 times a day to the affected skin area and gently massaged in. The maximum total daily dose is 20 g of gel. The medicine should not be used on open injuries, inflammations, infections or eczema and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Side effects may include local skin reactions, hypersensitivity reactions and airway constriction. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions about the use or side effects. The medicinal product must be kept below 25°C and has a shelf life of 3 months after opening.
