Description

MomeAllerg is a nasal spray that contains the active ingredient mometasone furoate.Mometasone furoate belongs to the group of corticosteroids and has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects.The nasal spray helps relieve inflammation, sneezing, itching, and a stuffy or runny nose caused by hay fever.It is suitable for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) in adults after initial diagnosis by a doctor.

Area of application

Hay fever, which occurs at certain times of the year, is an allergic reaction caused by inhaling pollen from trees, grasses, mold and fungal spores.MomeAllerg Nasal Spray reduces the swelling and irritation in the nose, thereby relieving sneezing, itching and a stuffy or runny nose caused by hay fever.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Active ingredient: mometasone furoate.Each actuation contains 50 micrograms of mometasone furoate (as monohydrate).

Other ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride solution, glycerol, polysorbate 80, microcrystalline cellulose and carmellose sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate (Ph. Eur.), purified water.

Dosage

The usual dose is two sprays into each nostril once daily.Once symptoms are under control, the dose may be reduced to one spray into each nostril once daily.If there is no improvement, you should see your doctor.If you have severe hay fever symptoms, you can start using it before the pollen season to prevent symptoms from occurring.

Contraindications

The nasal spray must not be used if you are allergic to mometasone furoate or any of the other ingredients, if you have an untreated infection in your nose, or if you have recently had nasal surgery or injured your nose.

Application

Before the first use, you must prepare the bottle by activating the spray 10 times until a fine spray is created.If you have not used the nasal spray for 14 days or more, you will need to prepare it again with 2 sprays.Shake the bottle gently, remove the protective cap and gently clean your nose.Close one nostril and insert the nosepiece into the other nostril.Start inhaling gently through your nose and spray one spray into your nose.Exhale through your mouth and repeat the process for the other nostril.Clean the nasal spray regularly by cleaning the nose piece and protective cap in warm water and allowing it to air dry.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the nasal spray if you have or have ever had tuberculosis, have another infection, are using other corticosteroid medicines, or have cystic fibrosis.During use, you should tell your doctor if your immune system is not working well, you have an infection of the nose or throat, have been using the medicine for several months or longer, or have persistent irritation of the nose or throat.

Pregnancy

There is almost no information on the use of this drug in pregnant women.It is not known whether mometasone furoate passes into breast milk.If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
