algovir Children's Cold Spray is a nasal spray for children that forms a protective film against cold viruses and supports the body's natural defences. It can be used to prevent and treat colds and flu. The spray contains carragelose, a natural active ingredient derived from red algae. Carragelose forms a barrier against cold viruses and supports the moisturising effect on the nasal mucosa. The spray can be used from the first onset of cold symptoms. It should be sprayed into each nostril at least 3 times a day. The spray contains no preservatives and has no known side effects. It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Algovir Children is a medical device and has been clinically tested. It does not contain any painkiller, preservative, animal ingredients or greenhouse gases. It is lactose- and gluten-free and can be used by diabetics. The shelf life is 36 months from opening. The spray is stored between 5°C and 30°C. It contains 20 ml of solution and one bottle is sufficient for a total of 400 sprays. Source: Package insert (as of 04/2022)
