Information for use with the article Laxatan M Granules: Laxatan M is used for the symptomatic treatment of (chronic) constipation. It must not be taken in the case of intestinal obstruction, an acute inflammatory disease of the intestine, unclear pain in the abdomen or an impending intestinal perforation. Children and adolescents under 16 years of age should only take it after consulting their doctor. Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before taking the product. Take according to the instructions for use. The dosage is 1 sachet of Laxatan M 1-3 times a day, dissolved in a glass of water (125 ml). Treatment with Laxatan M usually lasts a maximum of 30 days, but can be continued for a longer period if necessary. Laxatan M should be kept out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. It contains macrogol, Mg citrate, Ca citrate, potassium chloride and inulin. The mode of action is based on a 3-fold active complex that activates the intestinal flora and softens hardened stool. Laxatan M can be used over a longer period of time without having a habituation effect. People with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients should not use the product. Adults and adolescents aged 16 and over take 1 sachet of Laxatan M 1-2 times a day, dissolved in a glass of water. It can be taken over a long period of time or repeatedly.
