Canephron® Uno is a herbal medicine that is used to support the treatment of minor symptoms associated with inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract.These symptoms may include frequent urination, burning sensation when urinating, and increased urge to urinate.It also helps flush the urinary tract to reduce the buildup of kidney grit.The product is a traditional herbal medicine registered based on long-term use.No prescription is required for this product.

The cause of a urinary tract infection is usually bacteria in the bladder.Factors such as hormonal changes, insufficient fluid intake, cold, sexual intercourse, poor intimate hygiene or a weakened immune system can make it easier for these bacteria to enter the bladder and cause a bladder infection.Symptoms such as increased urge to urinate, abdominal cramps and burning during urination may occur.

Mode of action

Canephron® Uno contains a unique combination of rosemary, centaury and lovage.This plant combination has a 4-fold effect: pain relieving, antispasmodic, bacterial flushing and anti-inflammatory.The pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties have been demonstrated both in experimental test models and in living organisms.The antispasmodic properties have been demonstrated on human bladder strips, and the adhesion-reducing properties help flush out the bacteria.

Canephron® Uno is clinically proven to work on a par with an antibiotic.In one study, 88% of patients treated with Canephron® did not have a recurrence of cystitis in the following year.The recommended dosage is 1 tablet 3 times daily, supported by plenty of fluids.The product is suitable for adults and young people aged 12 and over, is gluten-free and very well tolerated.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Each coated tablet contains the following active ingredients: centaury powder (36 mg), lovage root powder (36 mg) and rosemary leaf powder (36 mg).The other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, corn starch, povidone K 25, silicon dioxide, calcium carbonate, native castor oil, iron (III) oxide, dextrin, glucose syrup, montan glycol wax, povidone K30, sucrose, shellac, riboflavin, talc and titanium dioxide.

The medicine contains glucose, sucrose (sugar) and lactose.It must not be used in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to the active ingredients, to other apiaceae (umbellifera, e.g. anise, fennel), to anethole or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.It should also not be used in cases of stomach ulcers or edema due to impaired cardiac or renal function and/or if reduced fluid intake has been recommended.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should take 1 coated tablet 3 times daily.The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.Ample fluid intake supports the therapy.If the symptoms do not improve after 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.The medicine must not be used for self-medication for longer than 2 weeks.

Intake

Take the medicine in a single dose 3 times a day (morning, lunch, evening).It should be swallowed whole with some liquid, such as a glass of water.Plenty of fluid intake during the treatment phase supports the therapy.

Patient information

If you have persistent fever, pain in the lower abdomen, cramps, blood in the urine, difficulty urinating and acute urinary retention, you should see a doctor immediately.There are insufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children under 12 years of age, so it should not be used in this age group.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.Use of the drug during pregnancy may be considered if deemed necessary by the doctor.It is not known whether this preparation or its active ingredients/degradation products are excreted in breast milk, therefore it should not be used during breast-feeding.
