Pyolysin® wound and healing ointment is a cream for application to the skin that has been specially developed for wound treatment.It is particularly suitable for superficial wounds such as abrasions, cuts, cracks or scratches.The ointment can be applied immediately to the fresh, cleaned wound, is well tolerated and is painless to use.No prescription is required for this product.

Operating principle

As soon as a wound has been created and the bleeding has stopped, a classic inflammatory reaction begins.This is important to activate the immune system and promote the natural healing process.However, germs can enter the wound and cause infections, which disrupts the healing process.Pyolysin® wound and healing ointment has an antimicrobial effect and inhibits the growth of wound germs, thereby optimally supporting the healing process in a natural way.The ointment also modulates the excessive inflammatory reaction and stimulates the immune system in the wound area.

The active ingredients of Pyolysin® wound and healing ointment are:

248.9 mg pyolysin culture filtrate consisting of Escherichia coli hydrolysate, Pseudomonas aeruginosa proteolysate, Streptococcus pyogenes lysate, Enterococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus aureus lysate.The ointment also contains 69 mg zinc oxide and 5 mg salicylic acid.Other ingredients include phenol, white petroleum jelly, glycerol monooleate, octadecyl octadecanoate, thin paraffin, hard paraffin and purified water.

Area of application

Pyolysin® wound and healing ointment is used to treat superficial wounds, for example as a supplement to lower leg ulcers.The ointment is particularly suitable for the treatment of abrasions and injuries caused by cuts, cracks or scratches.

Application

To treat superficial wounds, Pyolysin® wound and healing ointment is applied in a thin layer 2 to 3 times a day.If the wound has not healed after a week, please consult a doctor.Please note the package leaflet.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients mentioned.

Patient information

The ointment is not intended for use on the eyes.If the drug and condoms are used at the same time, the tear resistance may be reduced and the safety of condoms may be impaired.The cream should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there are insufficient data for its use.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

Pregnancy

There are no sufficient data for use in pregnant women.For safety reasons, the cream should not be used during pregnancy.The cream should not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.
