Calcium carbonate Abanta 500 mg chewable tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The chewable tablets contain 500 mg calcium carbonate per chewable tablet. The recommended dose is 2 chewable tablets several times a day, 1-2 hours after meals. The total dose should not exceed 10 chewable tablets per day. The chewable tablets are chewed carefully and swallowed with half a glass of water. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease. If the symptoms persist for more than two weeks, a doctor should be consulted. In case of overdose, symptoms such as constipation, nausea and vomiting may occur. The medicinal product should be protected from moisture and stored at room temperature.
