Calcium carbonate Abanta 500 mg chewable tablets are used for symptomatic therapy of heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The chewable tablets are taken several times a day, 1-2 hours after meals. The recommended dose is 2 chewable tablets each and can also be taken with food or between meals if necessary. The total dose should not exceed 10 chewable tablets per day. The chewable tablets should be chewed carefully and swallowed with half a glass of water. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease. If symptoms persist for longer than two weeks, a doctor should be consulted. An overdose usually has no consequences, but a doctor should be contacted if symptoms occur. The medicinal product should be stored away from moisture.
