Diclo Beta pain gel, 100 g

Instructions for use for Diclo Beta pain gel, 100 g

Areas of application

Diclo Beta pain gel is a pain-relieving medicine that is applied externally to the skin and is used in adults for the symptomatic treatment of pain.It can be used for acute strains, sprains or bruises caused by blunt trauma, such as sports and accidental injuries. It is also suitable for treating pain in the soft tissues near the joints, such as bursa, tendons, tendon sheaths, ligaments, muscle attachments and joint capsules, in osteoarthritis of the knee and finger joints. The gel can also be used for epicondylitis, an inflammation of the tendon attachments in the elbow area, and for acute muscle pain, for example in the back area.

For adolescents aged 14 and over, Diclo Beta pain gel can be used in the appropriate dosage for short-term treatment of local, symptomatic pain from acute bruises, strains or sprains as a result of blunt trauma.

Mode of action

Diclo Beta pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac sodium and is available as a light emulsion gel.It quickly relieves pain and stops inflammation. This eliminates pain, reduces swelling and makes everyday movements possible again. The gel also cools inflamed and swollen skin and joints. It absorbs quickly and leaves a pleasant cooling feeling on the skin without leaving any residue.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Diclo Beta pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac sodium.1 gram of gel contains 10 milligrams of diclofenac sodium. The other ingredients include purified water, 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.), propylene glycol, medium-chain triglycerides, thick paraffin, cetomacrogol 1000, carbomer 974 P and N-ethylethanamine.

Contraindications

Diclo Beta pain gel should not be used if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is known. It must not be applied to open injuries, inflammations or infections of the skin, as well as to eczema or mucous membranes. It should also not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 14, pregnant women or while breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.

Dosage

Diclo Beta pain gel should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.Unless otherwise prescribed, the gel should be used 3 to 4 times daily.Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, an amount the size of a cherry to a walnut, corresponding to 1-4 grams of gel (10-40 milligrams of diclofenac sodium), is required. The maximum daily dose is 16 grams of gel, equivalent to 160 milligrams of diclofenac sodium.

The application should usually last 1-3 weeks. If symptoms do not improve after 3-5 days or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.Adolescents aged 14 years and over are advised to consult a doctor if the medicine is needed to treat pain for more than 7 days or if symptoms worsen.

Intake

Diclo Beta pain gel is not intended to be taken and is only suitable for external use.

Patient information

No prescription is required for this product.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the pain gel.If the pain gel is used over a large area and over a longer period of time, side effects may occur that affect a specific organ system or the entire organism. These side effects are similar to those that can occur when taking other medicines containing diclofenac.

The pain gel may only be applied to intact, not diseased or injured skin. The medicine must not come into contact with the eyes and mucous membranes of the mouth and it must not be taken. If the pain gel gets into your eyes, rinse them carefully with water.Consult your doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist.

You can use a bandage, but not an occlusive bandage. Before applying a bandage, the pain gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes.

In acute conditions with severe redness, swelling or overheating of joints, persistent joint problems or severe back pain that radiates to the legs and is associated with neurological symptoms, a doctor should be consulted.

If you suffer from asthma, hay fever, swollen nasal mucous membranes or chronic bronchodilatory airway diseases, you are more at risk when using the pain gel than other patients. In this case, the preparation may only be used under certain precautionary measures and under direct medical supervision.

If a rash occurs during treatment, stop treatment.During treatment you may experience photosensitivity with skin symptoms after exposure to light.Make sure that children do not let their hands come into contact with rubbed areas of skin.

The pain gel has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, Diclo Beta pain gel should only be used after consulting a doctor. It must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy as an increased risk of complications for mother and child cannot be ruled out.

It helps me very well and the price is unbeatable. So it's also available at a lower price. Same active ingredient as V... which is more expensive. I use it for my knees and elbows
