The Contour Care Blood Glucose Monitoring System is suitable for measuring blood sugar levels in people with diabetes, regardless of whether they are being treated with insulin or not.It helps patients and healthcare professionals monitor the effectiveness of blood sugar control.The system is suitable for self-monitoring of blood glucose by people with diabetes and healthcare professionals, both in venous blood and in fresh capillary whole blood collected from the fingertip or palm of the hand.It is intended for self-monitoring of blood glucose outside the body (in vitro diagnostics) and must not be used for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus or in newborns.Measurements at alternative measuring points such as the palm of the hand should only be carried out when the blood sugar level is stable and does not change quickly.

The Contour Care sensors are specifically designed for use with the Contour Care blood glucose meter to quantitatively measure glucose in venous blood and fresh capillary whole blood collected from the fingertip or palm.The measuring device is used for the quantitative measurement of the glucose content in whole blood in the range from 0.6 mmol/L to 33.3 mmol/L.The system is intended exclusively for in vitro diagnostics.
