MediGel® wound cleaning spray is an alcohol-free surfactant-based solution that is ideal for painless cleaning of wounds.The solution is colorless and odorless and particularly skin-friendly, making it suitable for the whole family.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

MediGel® wound cleaning spray is suitable for cleaning and moistening wounds.It can be used for typical everyday wounds such as abrasions, cuts, scratches, lacerations, lacerations and bite wounds.However, due to the high risk of infection from bite wounds, a doctor should always be consulted for initial treatment.

In addition, the spray can be used on chronic wounds to remove wound secretions, dead tissue and biofilms and to activate the natural healing process.The spray is also suitable for loosening adherent bandages and encrustations.

Mode of action

MediGel® wound cleansing spray is characterized by its unique patented formulation.The surfactant “Cocamidopropyl Betaine” attracts impurities from the wound and enables effective wound decontamination.With a dosage of 0.3% betaine, the spray has excellent cleaning performance.

The zinc and iron ions it contains create a pH-optimized wound environment, which promotes wound healing.The solution is cooling and pain-relieving, colorless, odorless and non-sticky.The 360° spray head allows for easy application.

The active ingredients of MediGel® wound cleaning spray are trace element solution (corresponds to iron (II) ion and zinc ion), polihexanide and cocamidopropyl betaine.Other ingredients are purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

MediGel® wound cleaning spray can be sprayed onto the wound immediately after the injury.It should then be wiped off using sterile gauze pads.Rinsing is not necessary.

To loosen adhering bandages or encrustations, commercially available bandages or wound dressings should be sufficiently moistened with the spray and placed on the wound for 10-15 minutes.After the soaking phase, incrustations and adhering bandages can be removed.

After cleaning the wound, MediGel® SCHNELLE WUNDHEILUNG can be applied to maintain the pH-optimized, moist wound environment and further support wound healing.
