Paracetamol axicur® 500 mg tablets: Quick help for pain and fever
Paracetamol axicur® 500 mg tablets are a painkiller and fever-reducing medicine that is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever.The analgesic is generally well tolerated and is often used as an adjunct to flu-like infections.The tablets are made in Germany and are available in packs of 20.No prescription is required for this product.
Area of application
Paracetamol axicur® 500 mg tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, period pains and/or fever.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Paracetamol axicur® 500 mg tablets contain the active ingredient paracetamol.One tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol.Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch and povidone.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.If you have severe liver disease or alcohol-related liver damage, you should consult a doctor before taking it, as paracetamol can cause serious damage to the liver.
Dosage
The dosage of Paracetamol axicur® 500 mg tablets depends on body weight and age.As a rule, the single dose is 10 to 15 mg/kg body weight, with the maximum total daily dose not exceeding 60 mg/kg body weight.The dosing interval should not be less than 6 hours.If symptoms last longer than 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Intake
The tablets are swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.Taking it after meals may result in a delayed onset of action.
Patient information
Before taking the medicine you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are a chronic alcoholic, have impaired liver function, have a previous kidney injury or are taking medication that affects liver function.Caution is also advised in the case of serious illnesses, a deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, hemolytic anemia, a deficiency of the protein glutathione, dehydration, chronic malnutrition, a body weight of less than 50 kg or older people.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days, you should see a doctor.To prevent the risk of overdose, it should be ensured that other medicines used at the same time do not contain paracetamol.Long-term, high-dose, improper use of painkillers can cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses of the drug.
Paracetamol should not be taken for longer than 10 days by adults and no longer than 5 days by children and adolescents without medical or dental advice.Taking the total daily dose once can cause serious liver damage.Taking higher than recommended doses does not provide better pain relief but carries the risk of serious liver damage.
Ability to drive and use machines
Paracetamol has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.Nevertheless, caution should always be exercised after taking a painkiller.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Paracetamol can be taken during pregnancy after carefully weighing the benefit-risk ratio.You should use the lowest possible dose that relieves your pain and/or fever and for the shortest possible period of time and not in combination with other medicines.
Paracetamol passes into breast milk.Since there are no known adverse consequences for the infant, it is generally not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding.Paracetamol can affect female fertility.This is reversible after stopping treatment.

Application
Adults, adolescents and children aged 12 and over (from 43 kg/KG) can take 500-1000 mg paracetamol (1-2 tablets) as a single dose and 4000 mg paracetamol (8 tablets) as a maximum daily dose (24 hours).Adolescents and children (11-12 years old and 33-43 kg/KG) can take 500 mg paracetamol (1 tablet) as a single dose and 2000 mg paracetamol (4 tablets) as a maximum daily dose (24 hours).
Children from 17 kg/KG and from 4 years can take different doses depending on their weight and age.The use of this medicinal product in children under 4 years of age or under 17 kg body weight is not recommended as the dosage strength is not suitable for this age group.
