Directions for use of the article Berberil N EDO eye drops: Berberil N EDO eye drops contain the active substance tetryzoline hydrochloride and belong to the drug group of alpha-sympathomimetics. They are used to treat eye irritation caused by smoke, wind, chlorinated water and light, as well as allergic inflammation of the eye such as hay fever and hypersensitivity to pollen. The recommended dose is 1 drop per eye 2 to 3 times daily, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. The duration of use should not exceed 5 days unless under medical supervision. Carefully detach the one-dose ophtiole from the strip. The cap of the dropper is turned, not pulled. The head is tilted slightly backwards and the lower lid of the eye is pulled slightly downwards. The dropper is held with the opening downwards and gently pressed to drop a drop into the lower eyelid, which is pulled down. The eye is closed and moved slightly to the right and left and blinked to distribute the drop evenly on the surface of the eye. In case of overdose, dilated pupils may occur. If swallowed, symptoms such as nausea, bluish skin, fever, convulsions, heart problems and others may occur. In such cases, a doctor should be contacted immediately. The eye drops should not be used in children under 2 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised not to use. The storage temperature should be below 25 °C. The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. The package leaflet contains further important information and should be read carefully before use.
