Information for use of the article Vividrin Azelastine EDO 0,5 mg/ml Eye Drops: - Active substance: azelastine hydrochloride. - Indications: Treatment and prevention of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis (hay fever) in adults and children aged 4 years and over and non-seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children aged 12 years and over. - Warning: Not suitable for the treatment of eye infections. - Dosage: 1 drop in both eyes 2 times daily, duration of use should not exceed 6 weeks - Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, not suitable for children under 4 years of age or children under 12 years of age with non-seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. - Side effects: Irritation of the eye, disturbance of taste. - Composition: azelastine hydrochloride, sorbitol 70, hypromellose, disodium edetate-2-water, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment, water for injections. - Mode of action: Prevents allergic reactions, has an anti-inflammatory effect. - Storage: Store away from heat, after opening for single use only. - Commercial forms: Vividrin Azelastine EDO 0.5 mg/ml eye drops, solution in single-dose container. Vividrin Azelastine EDO eye drops are used to treat and prevent hay fever-related eye complaints and non-seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. They act quickly and reliably against acute symptoms such as burning, itching or watering eyes. Use 2 times a day with 1 drop per eye. Contact lenses should be removed before use and only reinserted after 15 minutes. The drops are well tolerated and contain no preservatives. No overdose symptoms are known. If symptoms or side effects persist, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. A doctor should be consulted before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
