Vividrin Azelastine 1 mg/ml Nasal Spray Solution is used for the symptomatic treatment of hay fever and perennial allergic rhinitis. It contains the active ingredient azelastine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines. Azelastine blocks the action of histamine and other allergenic substances in the body that cause an allergic reaction. The most common symptoms are a runny nose, sneezing, itching and a blocked nose. The nasal spray is used in adults and children from 6 years of age. The recommended dosage is 1 spray per nostril 2 times a day. The medicine should not be used for longer than 6 months as long as contact with the allergen persists. Irritation symptoms in the nose such as burning, tingling, sneezing and nosebleeds may occur. The medicine must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients and in children under 6 years of age. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use should be discussed with the doctor.
