Berberil® N EDO® eye drops with the proven active ingredient tetryzoline soothe irritated eyes within minutes.They are suitable for the treatment of non-specific eye irritations and allergy-related inflammation of the eye, such as hay fever.The eye drops ensure rapid swelling of dilated vessels in the conjunctiva and the elimination of redness.Due to their good tolerability, Berberil® N EDO® eye drops are also suitable for children aged 2 and over.

The proven active ingredient tetryzoline has a strong decongestant and vasoconstricting effect.It is suitable for quickly relieving the symptoms of conjunctivitis caused by allergic reactions or non-specific triggers such as dust, smoke, wind or chlorinated water.Redness and swelling of the conjunctiva disappear quickly and the eyes no longer water.

Area of application

Berberil® N EDO® eye drops are ideal for quick relief from irritated eyes.They have a decongestant effect and are well tolerated because they do not contain any preservatives.The addition of hypromellose makes the eye drops pleasant to the eye.

There are numerous triggers that can lead to irritated eyes.These include allergies caused by cosmetics, food intolerances, house dust mites, animal hair or mold spores.Environmental factors such as pollutants, high ozone levels and other negative environmental influences can also cause unpleasant irritation to the eyes.During leisure time, smoke, dust, chlorinated water or wind can cause sudden conjunctivitis and impair enjoyment of sports and leisure activities.Berberil® N EDO® eye drops quickly relieve symptoms and are particularly practical for on the go and when traveling.

Ingredients of Berberil® N EDO® eye drops: 0.25 mg tetryzoline hydrochloride, 0.211 mg tetryzoline, disodium hydrogen phosphate 12-water as an excipient, hypromellose as an excipient, sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2-water as an excipient, sorbitol as an excipient and water for injection purposes as an excipient.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used in angle-closure glaucoma, hypersensitivity to tetryzoline hydrochloride or any of the other components of the medicine and in children under 2 years of age.

Dosage

For use on the eyes.Apply 1 drop per eye into the conjunctival sac 2 to 3 times a day with your head slightly tilted back.Tilt your head back to instill.Use the index finger of one hand to pull the lower eyelid down.With the other hand, hold the one-dose ophtiol vertically over the eye without touching the eye and instill 1 drop into the pulled-down conjunctival sac.Slowly close your eye and move it back and forth to spread the drop well.

The duration of use - especially in children - may be a maximum of 5 days without medical supervision.Important for contact lens wearers: Take out the contact lenses before instillation and do not reinsert them until 15 minutes after instillation.

Patient information

To avoid possible increased absorption of the active ingredient through the nasal mucosa, especially in children, the tear ducts should be closed with your fingers for 1 minute after using the eye drops.In rare cases, blurred vision and glare may occur for a short time after using eye drops.During this period you should not drive, operate machines or work without a secure footing.

Pregnancy

Berberil® N EDO® eye drops must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
