BoxaGrippal® forte cold tablets 400 mg/60 mg film-coated tablets

BoxaGrippal® forte cold tablets combine the active ingredients ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.This combination has a pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effect.The tablets contain twice the amount of active ingredients compared to the standard BoxaGrippal cold tablets and are specially designed for more severe symptoms.

The tablets are tasteless, easy to swallow and practical for on the go.They do not contain paracetamol and can be taken up to three times a day, although the maximum daily dose of three tablets should not be exceeded.

Area of application

BoxaGrippal® forte cold tablets are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of swelling of the mucous membranes of the nose and sinuses (rhinosinusitis).This treatment is associated with headache, fever, and cold-related pain in adults and adolescents ages 15 and older.

You should only use this combination medicine if you have both a stuffy nose and pain or fever.If you only have one of these symptoms, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist about treatment with individual substances only.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days (adults) or 3 days (adolescents), you should seek medical advice.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

One film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen and 60 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide-coated, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A) (Ph.Eur.), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.), poly (vinyl alcohol), titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 3350 and talc.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.

Dosage

Adults and young people aged 15 and over take 1 film-coated tablet if the symptoms are severe, every 6 hours if necessary.The maximum daily dose of 3 film-coated tablets per day (corresponding to 1200 mg ibuprofen and 180 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) must not be exceeded under any circumstances.

The film-coated tablets are to be taken orally.Take it whole with a glass of water, preferably with meals.

This medicine is for short-term use only.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.

In adults, if it is necessary to take this medicine for more than 4 days or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.In adolescents, if use of this medicine is necessary for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.

Intake

The film-coated tablets are to be taken orally.Take it whole with a glass of water, preferably with meals.

Patient information

No prescription is required for this product.

BoxaGrippal® forte cold tablets must not be used in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.

Dehydrated adolescents are at risk of impaired kidney function.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

The cold tablets must not be used in the last three months of pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Do not take this medicine if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy as this could harm your unborn baby or cause problems during birth.
