Nurofen Immedia 200 mg soft capsules are an over-the-counter pain reliever used for short-term relief of mild to moderate pain and fever.The active ingredient ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effects.

Areas of application

Nurofen Immedia 200 mg soft capsules are used for the symptomatic treatment of:

Mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothaches and period pains.

Fever and pain associated with colds.

Mode of action

Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Nurofen Immedia, inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain, fever and inflammation.This alleviates the symptoms.The soft capsules enable the active ingredient to be absorbed quickly into the body, so that the pain is quickly relieved.

Dosage and application

The dosage of Nurofen Immedia depends on age, weight and severity of symptoms.General dosage recommendations:

Adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more: initial dose of 1 to 2 capsules (200 to 400 mg ibuprofen).If necessary, another dose of 1 or 2 capsules can be taken.The maximum daily dose is 6 capsules (1200 mg ibuprofen).The time interval between doses should not be less than 4 hours for a 200 mg dose and 6 hours for a 400 mg dose.

Children from 20 kg (around 6 years) to 39 kg body weight: The maximum daily dose is 20 to 30 mg ibuprofen per kg body weight, divided into 3-4 individual doses.The time interval between doses should not be less than 6 hours.

Nurofen Immedia soft capsules are taken without chewing with sufficient water.The application should be as short as possible.In children and adolescents, the medicine should not be used for longer than 3 days without medical advice.In adults, it should not be taken for longer than 3 days if you have a fever or 4 days if you have pain without medical advice.

Composition

Active ingredient: Each capsule contains 200 mg ibuprofen.

Excipients: Macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water, partially dehydrated sorbitol (E420), gelatin, Ponceau 4R (E124), printing ink (Opacode WB white NS-78-18011).

Contraindications

Nurofen Immedia 200 mg soft capsules must not be used for:

Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients.

Ulcers in the digestive tract or active bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.

Cerebral hemorrhage or other active bleeding.

Severe liver, kidney or heart failure.

Pregnancy (especially in the last trimester) and breastfeeding.

For children under 6 years of age or with a body weight of less than 20 kg.

Side effects

Possible side effects may include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain.Headaches, dizziness, insomnia, tiredness, irritability and skin reactions can also occur.In rare cases, serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney dysfunction and allergic reactions may occur.

Storage
