Instructions for use of Femicur N capsules

Femicur N capsules are a herbal medicine that is used for various menstrual problems.The active ingredient in this preparation is chasteberry fruit dry extract.This medicine is used for menstrual irregularities, monthly recurring symptoms before menstruation, and feelings of tension and swelling in the breasts.

What do you need to consider before taking Femicur N capsules?

Femicur N capsules must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to chasteberry fruits or any of the other ingredients, if you have a tumor of the pituitary gland, if you have breast cancer or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.Particular caution is required when taking Femicur N capsules if you have menstrual irregularities or if you have a feeling of tension or swelling in your breasts.In these cases, you should first consult a doctor.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.Femicur N capsules should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

This medicine contains milk sugar (lactose) and dextrose (glucose).Please only take Femicur N capsules after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.

How should Femicur N capsules be taken?

Always take Femicur N capsules exactly according to the instructions in this leaflet.The usual dose is 1 hard capsule once daily.Please take the hard capsules whole with sufficient liquid, preferably 1 glass of drinking water.You can take the hard capsules regardless of meals.

Take Femicur N capsules in the form of a course of treatment over several weeks, at least 3 regular cycles, until the symptoms subside.If you have taken more Femicur N capsules than you should, please contact a doctor.If you forget to take Femicur N capsules, do not take a double dose, but continue taking it at the usual time.

What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Femicur N capsules can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include headaches, itching or abdominal discomfort such as nausea, stomach or lower abdominal pain as well as hypersensitivity reactions with skin rash and hives.Severe reactions with facial swelling, shortness of breath and difficulty swallowing have also been described.

In particular, if you experience signs of hypersensitivity reactions, please stop using Femicur N capsules and consult your doctor immediately.If hypersensitivity reactions occur, Femicur N capsules must not be taken again.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

How should Femicur N capsules be stored?

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.You may no longer use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton and the blister pack after “use by”.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

Femicur N capsules contain 4 mg dry extract from monk's pepper fruits (7-13:1) as the active ingredient.The other ingredients are glucose syrup (dry substance), lactose monohydrate, talc, corn starch, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, gelatin, sodium dodecyl sulfate, purified water, dyes E 171 and E 172. 1 hard capsule corresponds to 0.007 bread units (BE).

Femicur N capsules are light pink hard capsules.They are available in packs of 30, 60 and 100 hard capsules.
