Information about Pro-Symbioflor

Pro-Symbioflor is a bacterial lysate prepared from killed bacterial cultures of Enterococcus faecalis and Escherichia coli.It has a positive influence on the immune system.This product is used for disorders of gastrointestinal function and irritable bowel syndrome.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Pro-Symbioflor is offered as oral drops in the form of a suspension.The recommended dosage for adults is initially five drops three times a day, increasing to twenty drops three times a day within two weeks.Children and adolescents receive an appropriately adjusted dosage.The drops should be dissolved in a little water and taken with meals.Before use, the bottle should be shaken well, which will cause a slight cloudiness.The bottle should only be opened briefly and the dropper should not be touched to avoid contamination.The duration of use depends on the type and duration of the disease and can be up to six months in chronic cases.

Composition

The active ingredient of Pro-Symbioflor consists of bacterial lysate prepared from 1.5 - 4.5 x 107 cells of Enterococcus faecalis (DSM 16440) and 1.5 - 4.5 x 107 cells of E. coli (DSM 17252).Other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, sodium carbonate decahydrate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, nutrient broth (peptone, yeast extract, sodium chloride, glucose monohydrate) and purified water.

Storage

Pro-Symbioflor should not be stored above 30°C and should not be frozen before opening.After opening the bottle for the first time, close it tightly and store it in the refrigerator (2°C - 8°C).The contents will last for at least three weeks after first opening.The product must not be used if severe flocculation of the solution is noticed.

Contraindications and side effects

Pro-Symbioflor should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.Possible side effects include the escape of intestinal gases and upper abdominal discomfort.If you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist.
