Area of application

Mykoderm miconazole cream is a treatment for fungal diseases of the skin and skin folds.It is used for fungal infections between the fingers and toes, fungal diseases of the skin and skin folds, and superficial candidiasis caused by Candida species.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

The cream has a fungistatic effect, which means that the active ingredient miconazole inhibits the growth and reproduction of fungi.It is easy to apply and distribute and has a broad spectrum of activity that covers different pathogens.The effectiveness against a variety of disease-causing fungi enables the treatment of various diseases, such as diaper rash and athlete's foot.

The active ingredient in Mykoderm miconazole cream is miconazole nitrate.1 gram of cream contains 20 milligrams of miconazole nitrate.The other ingredients are benzoic acid as a preservative, macrogol stearate 1500, macrogol glycerol oleate, thick paraffin and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient miconazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients.According to current knowledge, the medicine has no harmful effects on the development of the child or birth during pregnancy.The medicine should not be applied to the breast during breastfeeding.

Dosage

Always use Mykoderm miconazole cream exactly as directed.The cream is applied to the affected skin areas 1 to 3 times a day and massaged in lightly with your fingers.Treatment should be continued for at least 14 days after the symptoms have subsided to prevent recurrence.The duration of application is usually 2 to 6 weeks.If you use more than you should, no consequences are expected.In case of missed application, continue treatment at the next prescribed time.

Intake

The cream is applied to the affected skin areas morning, afternoon and evening and massaged in lightly with your fingers until completely absorbed.

Patient information

There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.Caution is advised if you are allergic to fungal agents.Preservatives can cause irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Pregnancy

Since the active ingredient is practically not absorbed when applied locally, the drug can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.During breastfeeding, use on the breast should be avoided to avoid direct contact of the infant with the cream.

Other

The medicine may be used for a maximum of 12 weeks after opening.It must be kept at room temperature.Do not get into eyes, mucous membranes or open wounds.

Storage
