Loratadine AL 10 mg tablets contain the active ingredient loratadine.This medication is used to treat allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and to treat hives of unknown cause, also known as chronic idiopathic urticaria.No prescription is required for this product.

Loratadine AL belongs to the group of antihistamines and is used to treat symptoms of certain allergic diseases that are associated with increased histamine release.It helps with allergic rhinitis and hives of unknown cause.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Loratadine AL 10 mg tablets is loratadine.Each tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, corn starch and magnesium stearate.

Dosage and application

Always take Loratadine AL exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The tablet can be taken whole with a glass of water, regardless of meals.

The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years is 1 tablet once daily.Children aged 2 to 12 years with a body weight of over 30 kg can also take 1 tablet once a day.The 10 mg tablet is not suitable for children weighing 30 kg or less.The effectiveness and safety of loratadine in children under 2 years of age have not been established.

Patients with severe liver damage are recommended to initially take 1 tablet every other day.No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal impairment.

Storage

Keep loratadine AL out of the reach and reach of children and do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.No special storage conditions are required.

Side effects

Children under 12 may experience headaches, nervousness and tiredness.In adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, possible side effects include increased appetite, headaches, drowsiness and insomnia.If you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications

Patient information

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

No teratogenic effects of loratadine were found in animal studies.However, its safety during pregnancy has not been proven, so its use is not recommended.Since loratadine passes into breast milk, its use is also not recommended during breastfeeding.
