Instructions for use of Loratadine AL 10 mg tablets
Loratadine AL 10 mg tablets contain the active ingredient loratadine and belong to the group of antihistamines.This medicine is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and hives of unknown cause, also known as chronic idiopathic urticaria.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Loratadine AL is used to relieve symptoms of allergic diseases associated with increased histamine release.These include allergic-related runny nose and hives.The active ingredient loratadine helps relieve itching and suppress allergic reactions by blocking the effects of histamine.
Dosage and application
The tablets are intended to be taken orally and can be taken with a glass of water, regardless of meals.The usual dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age and for children aged 2 to 12 years with a body weight of over 30 kg is one tablet once a day.Children weighing 30 kg or less should not take these tablets.The effectiveness and safety of loratadine in children under 2 years of age have not been established.
Patients with severe liver damage are recommended to initially take one tablet every other day.No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal impairment.If you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Composition
Each tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient loratadine.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, corn starch and magnesium stearate.The preparation contains lactose, which may be important for people with intolerance to this component.
Contraindications
Loratadine AL must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to loratadine or any of the other ingredients.The medicine should not be used in infants and small children under 2 years of age and in children weighing less than 30 kg.It is not recommended to be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Side effects
Children under 12 may experience headaches, nervousness and tiredness as side effects.In adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, increased appetite, headaches, sleepiness and insomnia may occur.If you notice any discomfort or changes during treatment, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the package.No special conditions are required for storage.Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.
Important notes
Caution is advised if you are intolerance to lactose.If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should consider the sugar content.There may be medicines with which interactions occur.Therefore, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are already taking.
