Calcium Dura Vit D3 600 mg/400 IU chewable tablets are a vitamin-mineral preparation that is used to treat osteoporosis.It is used to compensate for combined vitamin D and calcium deficiencies in elderly patients and can be used as an adjunct to specific osteoporosis treatment, especially in patients with combined vitamin D and calcium deficiencies or at high risk of such deficiencies.

Active ingredients and ingredients
The chewable tablets contain the active ingredients calcium carbonate and colecalciferol (vitamin D3).One chewable tablet contains 1500 mg calcium carbonate, which corresponds to 600 mg calcium, and 4 mg colecalciferol dry concentrate, which corresponds to 0.010 mg colecalciferol or 400 IU vitamin D3.In addition, the preparation contains various excipients such as xylitol, D-mannitol, magnesium stearate, highly disperse silicon dioxide, pre-gelatinized corn starch, medium-chain triglycerides, sucrose, gelatin, modified starch, sodium aluminum silicate, butylated hydroxytoluene and various flavorings.

Calcium Dura Vit D3 600 mg/400 IU chewable tablets are used to treat osteoporosis and to compensate for combined vitamin D and calcium deficiencies in older patients.They can also be used as an adjunct to specific osteoporosis treatment in patients with combined vitamin D and calcium deficiency or at high risk of such deficiencies.
Dosage and application
Adults should take one chewable tablet once or twice daily.The chewable tablets should be chewed and swallowed with a little liquid.They can also be sucked.The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.A serum calcium check should be carried out every 3 to 6 months.During long-term treatment, urinary calcium excretion must be monitored and the dosage adjusted according to the results.
Contraindications
The chewable tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium carbonate, colecalciferol or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Also with increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalcemia), increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciuria), calcium-containing kidney stones, calcification of the kidney tissue (nephrocalcinosis), impaired kidney function (renal insufficiency), overactive parathyroid gland, vitamin D overdose, multiple bone marrow tumor (myeloma), secondary tumors in the bone (bone metastases),The chewable tablets must not be taken if limbs are immobilized (immobilization osteoporosis) or certain lung diseases (sarcoidosis, Boeck's disease).
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include increased calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia), increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciuria), constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, itchy skin, rash and hives.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage
