The medicine is a vitamin and mineral preparation.It is used as a vitamin D and calcium supplement to support specific therapy, to prevent and treat osteoporosis and to prevent and treat vitamin D and calcium deficiencies in older people.

The active ingredients are 1500 mg calcium carbonate, 600 mg calcium ion, 4 mg colecalciferol dry concentrate and 400 IE colecalciferol.The excipients include butylated hydroxytoluene, gelatin, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized corn starch, mannitol, sodium aluminum silicate, sucrose, colloidal silicon dioxide, modified starch, medium chain triglycerides, tutti frutti flavor, ethyl acetate, amyl/isoamyl butyrate, ethyl butyrate,3-Ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, geraniol, isopentyl acetate, maltodextrin, propylene glycol, beta-ionone, allyl hexanoate and xylitol.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if there is known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients, in disease states or conditions that can lead to high calcium concentrations in the blood or urine, in the case of kidney stones, if the vitamin D level is too high (hypervitaminosis) and in patients with severe kidney dysfunction.Children and adolescents under 18 years of age must not use the medicine.During pregnancy, the daily intake should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IE vitamin D3.Overdoses of vitamin D must be avoided in pregnant women.Calcium and vitamin D3 pass into breast milk, which should be taken into account when giving additional vitamin D3 to the child.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults is 1 chewable tablet once or twice daily.The chewable tablets are chewed or sucked.No dosage adjustment is necessary in cases of liver dysfunction.A one-time overdose usually has no consequences.Overdose symptoms can occur with long-term, excessive intake or additional intake of other calcium preparations.Signs of an overdose include increased thirst, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, exhaustion and abnormally increased urine output.If you suspect an overdose, you should notify your doctor.

Patient information
