How to use Olynth 0.05% cold solution?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for children between 2 and 6 years of age is 1 to 2 drops in each nostril up to 3 times daily.Do not exceed the recommended dosage and duration of use.To use, tilt the head back slightly and wipe the pipette after each use.

Duration of application

Do not use Olynth 0.05% cold solution for longer than 7 days without medical advice.Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days.You should always consult your doctor about the duration of use in children.Due to the risk of loss of the nasal mucosa, it may only be used for chronic colds under medical supervision.

Overdose

What Olynth 0.05% cold solution contains

The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride.1 ml nasal drops, solution contains 0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride.The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride solution, sodium edetate, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sorbitol solution 70%, non-crystallizing and purified water.

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.After opening, Olynth 0.05% cold solution has a shelf life of 12 weeks.Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients, suffer from a certain form of chronic cold, after surgical removal of the pineal gland through the nose or other surgical procedures that expose the meninges, or in infants and young children under 2 years of age.

Side effects

Possible side effects include irritation in the nose such as burning of the mucous membranes, sneezing, a feeling of stuffy nose, hypersensitivity reactions of the skin such as rash, itching, angioneurotic edema, cardiovascular reactions such as high blood pressure, increased pulse rate and palpitations.

Patient information

Particular caution is required if you suffer from increased intraocular pressure, severe cardiovascular disease, a tumor of the adrenal gland, metabolic disorders such as hyperthyroidism or diabetes, enlarged prostate or the metabolic disease porphyria.
