Instructions for use of the article Magnerot 1000 Injekt Ampoules Important information (obligatory data): magnerot® 1000 Injekt. Active substance: magnesium D-gluconate 1000 mg/5 ml solution for injection. Indications: Magnesium deficiency when it is the cause of muscle activity disorders and oral therapy is not possible. For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Product characteristics: What is magnerot® 1000 Injekt and what is it used for? Magnerot® 1000 Injekt is a mineral/magnesium preparation. Indication: Magnesium deficiency when it is the cause of muscle activity disorders and oral therapy is not possible. How should magnerot® 1000 Injekt be used? Magnerot® 1000 Injekt should always be used exactly as agreed with your doctor. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure. Recommended dosage: The dosage depends on the severity of the magnesium deficit or the amount needed. 1 ampoule of Magnerot® 1000 Inject at 1 to 2 day intervals. Route of administration: For intramuscular and intravenous use (injection). Magnerot® 1000 Injekt is injected deep into a muscle or slowly into a vein. The injection into a vein must be given very slowly with the patient lying down (the first 3 ml in 3 minutes). Duration of use: The injection of one ampoule should be repeated at intervals of 1 to 2 days. How should magnerot® 1000 Injekt be stored? Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and the container after "use by". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Storage conditions: No special storage conditions are required for this medicinal product. Do not dispose of medicinal products in waste water. By doing so, you will help to protect the environment. Indication: - Neuromuscular disorders caused by severe magnesium deficiency (calf cramps). Dosage and directions for use: - The application should only be carried out by qualified personnel. - The duration of use depends on the type of complaint and/or duration of the disorder and is therefore determined only by your doctor. - Contact a doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose. - Pay particular attention to conscientious dosage in infants, small children and the elderly. - A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity to the ingredients - Nervous disease with muscle atrophy (myasthenia gravis) - Tendency to form kidney stones - Slow pulse (bradycardia) - AV-Block (disturbed heartbeat during conduction from the atrium to the ventricle) - Disturbance in the conduction of excitation in the heart - Impaired kidney function - Pregnancy and breastfeeding: please consult your doctor. Side effects: - Restlessness - Headaches - dizziness - tingling - Slow pulse (bradycardia) - Disturbance in the conduction of excitation in the heart - Peripheral vasodilation (vasodilatation) - Vomiting - Nausea - Sweating - Warm sensation - If you notice any disturbance or change in your condition during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Composition: - Active substance: D-gluconic acid, magnesium salt x-water (1030.93-1136.36 mg), D-gluconic acid, magnesium salt (1000 mg), magnesium ion (58.62 mg), magnesium ion (2.41 mmol). - Excipients: hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment, water for injections.
