Magnesiocard^® i.v.Solution for injection

Magnesiocard^® i.v.is a preparation for the treatment of magnesium deficiency if this is the cause of disorders of muscle activity such as neuromuscular disorders or leg cramps and oral therapy is not possible.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Magnesiocard^® i.v.is used in cases of proven magnesium deficiency, especially if this leads to muscle activity disorders and oral treatment is not possible.

Dosage

The dosage depends on the extent of the magnesium deficiency and is determined by the doctor.The usual dosage for adults is 1 ampoule (10 ml) every 1 to 2 days, which is equivalent to 72.9 mg of magnesium.

Type of application

The intravenous injection must be given very slowly with the patient lying down, with the first 3 ml administered in 3 minutes.After the injection, patients should rest for 10 to 20 minutes.

Active ingredient

The active ingredient of Magnesiocard^® i.v.is magnesium aspartate hydrochloride trihydrate.One ampoule contains 737.6 mg of this active ingredient, which corresponds to 72.9 mg of magnesium.

In addition to the active ingredient, Magnesiocard^® i.v.Water for injections as an excipient.
