NUROFEN® 24-Hour pain plaster 200 mg medicated plaster

The NUROFEN® 24-hour pain plaster 200 mg active ingredient-containing plaster continuously releases ibuprofen at the site of the pain over 24 hours.It is suitable for the short-term symptomatic treatment of local pain in acute muscle strains and sprains.The plaster is flexible and adaptable.Due to its thin nature, the patch can be worn under clothing without contaminating it.It is therefore an ideal everyday companion for pain.

Area of application

The NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patch 200 mg ibuprofen is suitable for the treatment of blunt injuries such as strains, sprains and bruises.One daily application is enough to achieve pain relief that lasts for 24 hours.This is made possible by the unique fabric structure of the patch, which allows the active ingredient to be continuously absorbed into the skin.

Suitable for teenagers and adults aged 16 and over.

Glycerol rosinate, hydrogenated (excipient)

Levomenthol (excipient)

Paraffin, thick (excipient)

Pegoterate tissue (excipient)

Pegoterate, silicone-coated (excipient)

Polyisobutene (excipient)

Polystyrene block-polyisoprene block-polystyrene (11:78:11) (excipient)

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.Do not use on mucous membranes, lips, eyes or face.Do not use in case of hypersensitivity reactions to ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Dosage

The plaster is used for the short-term treatment of local pain after blunt injuries.Remove the central strip of the patch and apply it directly to the painful area.Peel off the two outer adhesive strips one after the other and smooth the patch onto the skin.After 24 hours, replace the patch with a new one.If there is no improvement after five days of use, you should consult a doctor.Suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Intake

The plaster containing active ingredients is intended for use on intact skin.Before applying the patch, carefully clean and dry the area to be treated.The patch can be applied at any time during the day or night and should be replaced with a new patch at the same time the following day.

The patch is flexible and comfortable to wear.If necessary, it can be applied on or next to a joint and allows normal movement.The patch should not be cut and must be used whole.It must not be used on injured or diseased skin and must not be covered with another plaster or airtight clothing and bandages.It shouldn't get wet.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you have or have ever suffered from asthma or allergies, a stomach ulcer or intestinal, heart, kidney or liver problems, or if you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or are breast-feeding.

At the first sign of any type of skin reaction or other sign of an allergic reaction, stop using the medicated patch and seek medical attention immediately.Report any unusual abdominal symptoms, especially bleeding, to your doctor.Older patients may experience more side effects.If you don't feel better or get worse, or if you develop new symptoms, talk to your doctor.To reduce the risk of a photosensitivity reaction, do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds UV-during application and for one day after removing the patch.

This medicine should not be used in children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Do not use this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy. If you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.

No harmful effects on infants have been reported when using this medicine while breastfeeding.However, as a precautionary measure, if you are breastfeeding you should not apply the medicated patch directly to your breast.

Application

The NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patch is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.The maximum dose is equivalent to one patch and lasts up to 24 hours.The patch can be used during the day or night but should be replaced with a new patch after 24 hours.The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.If the pain persists or worsens, medical advice should be sought.
