IbuHEXAL acute 400 mg film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen and are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.These include headaches, toothaches and period pains.No prescription is required for this product.

What is IbuHEXAL acute and what is it used for?

IbuHEXAL acute is an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medicine that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).It is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever.

How should IbuHEXAL be taken acutely?

Always take IbuHEXAL acute exactly according to the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.For infections, you should consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, the recommended dose is ½ to 1 film-coated tablet, depending on body weight.The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.If you have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before taking your next dose.

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take it during meals.The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

If you forget to take IbuHEXAL acute, do not take double the amount.Continue taking at the next prescribed time.

What is contained in IbuHEXAL acute?

The active ingredient is ibuprofen.One film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate (vegetable), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, talc and titanium dioxide (E 171).

How should IbuHEXAL be stored acutely?

Keep IbuHEXAL acute out of the reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacy about proper disposal.

Important notes

If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice.Reactivity may be impaired, particularly in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Be careful if you have allergies to painkillers or binding agents.If you use painkillers long-term, you may experience headaches caused by the painkiller.Use caution in patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma or who are prone to allergic reactions.
