Area of application

The NUROFEN 24-hour pain patch 200 mg ibuprofen is suitable for the treatment of blunt injuries such as strains, sprains and bruises.One daily application is enough to achieve pain relief that lasts for 24 hours.This is made possible by the unique fabric structure of the patch, which allows the active ingredient to be continuously absorbed into the skin.The patch is suitable for teenagers and adults aged 16 and over.

Dosage

The plaster is used for the short-term treatment of local pain after blunt injuries.Simply remove the central strip of the plaster and stick it directly to the painful area.Then peel off the two outer adhesive strips one after the other and smooth them onto the skin.After 24 hours, replace the patch with a new one.If there is no improvement after five days of use, you should consult a doctor immediately.The patch is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Intake

The NUROFEN 24-hour pain patch 200 mg ibuprofen is intended for use on intact skin.The area to be treated should be carefully cleaned and dried before applying the plaster.The patch can be applied at any time during the day or night, but must be replaced with a new patch at the same time the next day.The plaster containing active ingredients is flexible and adaptable.If necessary, the patch can be applied on or next to a joint and will allow normal movement.

The patch should not be cut and must be used whole.It must not be used on injured or diseased skin and must not be covered with another plaster or with airtight clothing or bandages.The plaster should not get wet.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.The patch must not be stuck to mucous membranes, lips, eyes or face.Use in hypersensitivity reactions to ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is not permitted.

Why do NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patches work?

The NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patch contains the proven active ingredient ibuprofen, a painkiller that belongs to the category of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAR).Ibuprofen reduces pain, swelling and fever caused by inflammation.

What about side effects?

Compared to oral NSAR , the systemic exposure of ibuprofen when applied to the skin is very low.Side effects, particularly those affecting the gastrointestinal tract, are less common when using ibuprofen on the skin.

How often does the NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patch have to be changed?

One patch corresponds to a daily dose and therefore only needs to be changed once a day, 24 hours after it has been applied to the skin.

Application

The NUROFEN® 24-hour pain patch is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.The maximum dose is equivalent to one patch and lasts up to 24 hours.The patch can be used during the day or night but should be replaced with a new patch after 24 hours.The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.If pain persists or worsens, medical advice should be sought.
