Instructions for use for MUCOSOLVAN Children's juice 30 mg/5 ml, 100 ml

Mucosolvan children's juice 30 mg/5 ml is a medicine used to loosen mucus in respiratory diseases with thick mucus. It is used to treat acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs. The recommended dosage varies according to age: - Children up to 2 years: only on doctor's orders, 2 times daily 1.25 ml. - Children from 2-5 years: 1.25 ml 3 times a day - Children from 6-12 years: 2.5 ml 2-3 times daily - Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: usually 5 ml 3 times daily at first, then 5 ml 2 times daily; up to 10 ml 2 times daily if needed. The juice is taken with or separately from meals. If the symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product contains the active substance ambroxol hydrochloride and small amounts of sorbitol, benzoic acid and propylene glycol. The package leaflet and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use. The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the label. No special storage conditions are required. A pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions about disposal. The medicinal product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, impaired kidney or liver function, cilia disorders of the respiratory tract, pregnancy and lactation. If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted. The ingredients of the medicinal product are ambroxol hydrochloride, benzoic acid, sorbitol solution 70%, hydroxyethylcellulose, glycerol 85%, acesulfame potassium, flavourings and purified water.
