Instructions for use of the article MYRRHENTINKTUR HETTERICH Important information (mandatory information): MYRRHEN TINKTUR Hetterich. Active substance: Commiphora molmol Engl. Indications: Inflammation of the mouth and throat. Warning: Contains 85% alcohol by volume. For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Indications: - Inflammation of the mouth and throat. Dosage and directions for use: Adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults a sufficient amount 2-3 times a day spread over the day Adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults 5-10 drops 2-3 times a day spread over the day The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. How to use? Drop the medicine onto the mucous membrane of the mouth. Or: Prepare the medicine and rinse the oral cavity with it. Or: Prepare the medicine and gargle with it. Put it in a glass of water. Then spit out the medicine and avoid swallowing it. The medicine should only be used if it is safe to do so. Duration of use? You should not use the medicine for longer than 1 week without medical advice. If your symptoms persist or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor. Overdose? An overdose can lead to alcohol poisoning. Young children in particular are very much at risk. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately. In general: Pay attention to a conscientious dosage, especially with infants, small children and elderly people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions. A dosage prescribed by the doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions. Contraindications: What are the contraindications to use? - Hypersensitivity to the ingredients What age group should be considered? - Children under 12 years of age: The medicinal product must not be used. What about pregnancy and breast-feeding? - Pregnancy: According to current knowledge, the medicinal product should not be used. - Breast-feeding: According to current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breast-feeding may have to be considered. If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be higher than the risk involved in the use in case of a contraindication. Side effects: What undesirable effects may occur? When used undiluted: - Slight burning sensation on the mucous membrane - Taste disturbances If you notice any disturbance or change in your condition during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist. For the information given here, mainly side effects occurring in at least one in 1,000 treated patients are taken into account. Composition: - 1 g tincture of myrrh - Excipient: ethanol Mode of action: The ingredients come from the plant myrrh and act as a natural mixture. On mucous membranes, myrrh contracts the tissue, disinfects and promotes wound healing. It has also been proven to inhibit the growth of fungi. Beyond its medicinal effect, myrrh is used as an additive in soaps, toothpaste and mouthwash. Important notes: - Caution in case of allergy to spices, essential oils and turpentine oil! - Caution in case of allergy to phenol (e.g. pyrogallol, triclosan and vanillin)! - Caution in case of allergy to composite plants (Latin name = composites), e.g. arnica, marigold, yarrow, coneflower and camomile! - Caution with allergies to cinnamon, birch, poplar buds, propolis, valerian, turmeric and rosin! - The medicinal product contains small amounts of alcohol, should therefore be avoided by alcoholics.
