Diclac pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac sodium, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/analgesics.These remedies have an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect.The gel is used externally to treat pain, inflammation and swelling in various illnesses and injuries.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Diclac pain gel can be used for the following complaints:
Sports and accidental injuries such as sprains, bruises and strains.Rheumatic diseases of the soft tissues, including tendon and tenosynovitis, bursitis and inflammation in the muscle and capsule area.Degenerative diseases of the peripheral limb joints, such as osteoarthritis.Superficial inflammation of the veins (thrombophlebitis superficialis).
Teenagers aged 14 and over can use the gel for short-term treatment of pain from acute bruises, strains or sprains.
Mode of action
Diclac pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac sodium, which has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect.The gel is applied externally and works directly on the painful area.It relieves pain, fights inflammation and cools the skin.The gel is quickly absorbed and leaves the skin feeling pleasant without leaving any residue.
Active ingredients and ingredients
1 Gram of Diclac pain gel contains 10 mg of diclofenac sodium as the active ingredient.Other ingredients include isopropanol, ammonia solution, disodium edetate-2-water, decyl oleate, odor corrector, carbomer 980, (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline, purified water, (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol and (R,R,R)-[alpha]-tocopherol.
Contraindications
The gel should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It must not be applied to open injuries, inflammation or infections of the skin, eczema or mucous membranes.Children and adolescents under 12 years of age should not use the gel.Pregnant and breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
People who have had asthma attacks, nasal inflammation or skin reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the past should not use the gel.
Dosage and application
Apply a cherry to walnut-sized amount of gel to the painful area 3-4 times daily.This corresponds to a single dose of 1-4 grams of gel (10-40 mg diclofenac sodium).The maximum daily dose is 16 grams of gel (160 mg diclofenac sodium).
Rub the gel lightly to increase active ingredient absorption.Wash your hands afterwards, unless these are the area to be treated.If you have phlebitis, you should not rub the gel in with pressure.Allow the gel to dry for a few minutes before applying a bandage.Do not use the gel for more than 1-2 weeks without medical advice.
Notes
Diclac pain gel is only intended for external use and must not be taken.Keep the gel out of the reach of small children.Do not use the gel after the expiry date stated on the package.
Contains (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline (soy) and a fragrance with allergens.
