Areas of application

Diclac pain gel 1% gel can be used for the external treatment of pain, inflammation and swelling in the following areas:

For sports and accidental injuries such as sprains, bruises and strains.

For rheumatic diseases of the soft tissues, including tendon and tendonitis, bursitis and inflammation in the muscle and capsule area.

For degenerative diseases of the peripheral limb joints, such as osteoarthritis.

For superficial phlebitis, also known as superficial thrombophlebitis.

Teens ages 14 and older can use the gel for short-term treatment of pain from acute bruises, strains, or sprains resulting from blunt trauma.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 Gram of Diclac pain gel 1% gel contains 10 milligrams of diclofenac sodium as the active ingredient.The other ingredients include isopropanol, ammonia solution, disodium edetate-2-water, decyl oleate, odor corrector, carbomer 980, (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline, purified water, (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol and (R,R,R)-[alpha]-tocopherol.

Contraindications

Diclac pain gel 1% gel should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.It must not be applied to open injuries, inflammation or infections of the skin, eczema or mucous membranes.Use in children and adolescents under 12 years, pregnant women and breastfeeding women should be avoided without consulting a doctor.People who have a history of asthma attacks, nasal inflammation or skin reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not use the gel.

Dosage and application

Apply a cherry to walnut-sized amount of Diclac pain gel 1% gel to the painful area 3-4 times a day.This corresponds to a single dose of 1-4 grams of gel (10-40 milligrams of diclofenac sodium).The maximum daily dose is 16 grams of gel (160 milligrams of diclofenac sodium).Rub the gel lightly to increase active ingredient absorption.Wash your hands afterwards, unless these are the area to be treated.If you have phlebitis, you should not rub the gel in with pressure.Allow the gel to dry on the skin for a few minutes before applying a bandage.Avoid tight dressings.Regular use should not exceed 1 to 2 weeks.For prolonged use, please consult your doctor.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using the gel if you suffer from asthma, hay fever, nasal mucous membrane swelling or chronic respiratory infections.In these cases, the product should only be used under medical supervision.If symptoms do not improve after 3 to 5 days or worsen, you should consult a doctor.Children and young people under 15 years of age should not use the gel as there is insufficient experience with this.Elderly patients should use the gel under regular medical supervision.Normally the recommended dosage does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In the first 6 months of pregnancy, the gel should only be used after consulting a doctor, and the daily dose should not exceed 16 grams of gel.The product must not be used in the last 3 months of pregnancy.During breastfeeding, prolonged use should be avoided and the daily dose of 16 grams of gel should not be exceeded.Breastfeeding women should not use the gel on the breast area to avoid absorption by the baby.
