Area of application

This medicine is intended to treat migraine headaches and other types of pain.It is used in the acute treatment of headaches during migraine attacks, both with and without aura, and for mild to moderate pain.

The main active ingredient of this drug is phenazone at a concentration of 500 mg per tablet.In addition, it contains various excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, magnesium stearate (vegetable), and highly disperse silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to phenazone, pyrazolone, phenylbutazone or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated in cases of genetic glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, acute hepatic porphyria, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The medicine is not suitable for infants and children under 12 years of age and there is insufficient evidence for this age group.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.For the acute treatment of migraine headaches, adults and adolescents over 15 years of age can take 2 tablets (equivalent to 1000 mg phenazone), if necessary several times a day at intervals of 4 to 8 hours.The maximum total daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets.To treat mild to moderate pain, adults and adolescents over 15 years of age can take 1 - 2 tablets, also at intervals of 4 to 8 hours.Children aged 12 to 15 years receive one tablet 1 - 2 times a day at an interval of 6 - 8 hours, whereby the total daily dose should not exceed 2 tablets.In older people, in a reduced general condition or with impaired liver function, the dose should be reduced as the excretion of metabolic products may be delayed.In these cases, the total daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets.

Medicines containing phenazone should not be taken for longer than 3 - 4 days without medical or dental advice.

Intake

This medicine is taken orally and should be consumed with sufficient fluid, such as a glass of water, regardless of meals.
