Nystaderm® Paste - all-round protection & effective help for babies with diaper rash and skin fungus

Area of application

Nystaderm® Paste is intended for use on the skin and offers protection and effective help with diaper rash and skin fungus.The paste fights fungi in diaper rash caused by Candida, relieves itching, promotes wound healing and has an anti-inflammatory effect.It is mild, has a local effect on the skin and is easy to apply and massage in.The paste is free of fragrances, dyes, silicones, parabens and BHT.It is safe, effective and tolerated by infants and young children.

Mode of action

Nystaderm® Paste contains nystatin and zinc oxide, which are particularly effective in combination.Nystatin is an antifungal drug that fights fungal infection by destroying the synthesis of components of the fungal cell membrane.At the same time, nystatin has a preventive effect against another fungal infection.Zinc oxide has anti-inflammatory and weak disinfectant properties, relieves symptoms and absorbs excess moisture.

Nystaderm® Paste contains the following ingredients: The active ingredient is nystatin.1 gram of paste contains 100,000 international units (IU) of nystatin.The other ingredients are zinc oxide, thick paraffin, polyethylene, white petroleum jelly and all-rac-α-tocopherol.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

Nystaderm® Paste should be applied thinly to the affected skin areas 2-4 times a day.The symptoms usually subside after just a few days.To ensure complete therapeutic success, treatment should be continued for a few days after complete healing.The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.

Nystaderm® Paste is intended for use on the skin.

Patient information

When using Nystaderm® Paste in the genital or anal area, the oils and fats contained as excipients can lead to a reduction in tear resistance and thus to an impairment of the safety of latex condoms.

Pregnancy

Nystatin, the active ingredient in Nystaderm® Paste, is hardly absorbed in therapeutic doses after oral administration, via intact skin or mucous membranes.Nystatin does not cross the placenta and is not expected to pass into breast milk.Nystaderm® paste can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Notes

Nystaderm® Paste must not be used if you are allergic to Nystatin or any of the other ingredients.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
