Nystaderm film-coated tablets are a treatment for fungal infections of the gastrointestinal tract, especially for nystatin-sensitive yeast infections caused by antibiotics, cytostatic drugs or corticosteroids. The film-coated tablets contain the active substance nystatin. It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets after meals, 3 times a day in total. The duration of use is 2 weeks or as long as the treatment with the triggering medication lasts. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, as well as skin rashes and hives. The tablets must not be taken if there is an allergy to nystatin or other ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use.
