Information for use of the article HEPATHROMB 30000 HEPACTHROMB 30000 is a cream containing the active substance heparin sodium. This cream is used for the supportive treatment of acute swelling conditions after blunt injuries such as sprains, bruises, contusions, haematoma and painful swellings after injuries. Before use, please note that HEPATHROMB 30000 must not be used if you are allergic to heparin sodium, methyl or propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (known as parabens) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Furthermore, the medicine must not be applied to open wounds or weeping eczema. Keep your fingers away from the eyes and mucous membranes during application. In case of new symptoms such as swelling and a feeling of warmth in the affected part of the body, reddened and tense skin, a feeling of tightness and pain as well as sudden shortness of breath, chest pain and weakness/collapse, you should consult a doctor immediately. The recommended dose is an adequate amount applied to the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 10 days unless otherwise prescribed. Side effects are rare and may include allergic reactions such as skin redness and itching. If side effects occur, you should interrupt the treatment and consult a doctor.
