Area of application

The paste with zinc oxide has a covering and protective effect as well as binding secretions in acute and subacute skin diseases.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The paste contains 30 grams of zinc oxide as an active ingredient.Peanut oil, sorbitan trioleate, yellow petroleum jelly and wool wax alcohols are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if there is hypersensitivity or allergy to zinc oxide, wool wax alcohols, peanut, soy or other components of the paste.

Dosage and application

The paste can be applied to the affected skin areas several times a day.For infants, this should be done every diaper change.If necessary, the treated area can be covered with gauze.The duration of application is not limited.

Patient information

It should be avoided to apply the paste to more than 20 percent of the body surface.In addition, the paste must not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The paste can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, provided it is used as intended.However, large-area use, especially on the breasts of breastfeeding women, should be avoided.

Instructions for use

The paste should be shaken well before use.Residues containing zinc oxide should be completely removed before using other skin products, otherwise their effectiveness may be impaired.

Side effects

Occasionally, skin redness may occur.If you are hypersensitive to wool wax alcohols, redness and skin inflammation can occur.A slight burning sensation may occur after application to severely inflamed areas of skin.In rare cases, peanut oil can cause severe allergic reactions.

Durability and storage

The medicine should no longer be used after the expiry date.After opening, the paste can be used for another three months.It should be tightly closed and not stored above 25°C.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.Residual suspension should be washed off and not rubbed off to avoid mechanical irritation of the skin.
