Information for use of the article Loperamid akut Heumann Tabletten: - Active substance: loperamide hydrochloride. - Indications: Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over if no other treatment is available. - Important information: Read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. - Loperamid akut Heumann is not suitable for children under 12 years of age, people with certain bowel conditions and people with diarrhoea accompanied by fever or bloody stools. - Caution in liver disease and when used with certain other medicines. - Pregnant and breast-feeding women should not take Loperamid akut Heumann. - Dosage: Adolescents 12 years and older: 1 tablet as first dose, then 1 tablet after each unformed stool, maximum daily dose: 4 tablets. Adults: 2 tablets as first dose, then 1 tablet after each unformed stool, maximum daily dose: 6 tablets. - Duration of use: Not longer than 2 days without a doctor's prescription. - Side effects may include constipation, flatulence, headache, nausea and dizziness - Keep medicines out of reach of children, do not dispose of in waste water - Pharmaceutical company: HEUMANN PHARMA GmbH & Co.
